of the Human Genome Project

Shameka, Dr. Carroll, Dr. Ciaffa and Harvey

This Community Initiative sponsored by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching has been developed to study the history, techniques and social consequences of the Human Genome Project. The community is comprised of two faculty and two students: Dr. Jay Ciaffa with student Harvey Daniels from Philosopy and Dr. Marion Carroll with student Shameka Darisaw from Chemistry. The primary goal for faculty will be curriculum development and the primary goal for students will be the development of research and writing skills.

Listed below are the minutes of our meetings scheduled weekly on Tuesdays
at 9:00 am in Room 350 of the NCF building.

Follow along with our progress in the Development Phase as we increase our understanding of the scientific, ethical and social problems associated with the Human Genome Project. Please send inquiries or suggestions to mlcarrol@xula.edu or jciaffa@xula.edu
